Vision

Our Vision is to provide up-to-date support for the arts in our communities, to strive to increase awareness of local arts, and to drive business to fellow artists. To accomplish this, we will produce an annual, well-distributed guidebook, and we will create an online presence with the use of this website and other social media, with timely updates, news and content. In addition, our vision is to promote and host functions to promote the arts in Door and Kewaunee counties.

Mission

Our mission is to use local talent to produce tools to promote, support and further develop the local arts scene in Door and Kewaunee counties. We will support these endeavors by selling advertising in the guidebook and online.

Local

Door / Kewaunee Publishing, Inc. (DK-Arts) is staffed by local artists who have years of experience in arts publication media.

The Team

To promote a healthy arts economy, support local artists, and encourage tourism, the Door Kewaunee Arts Guidebook team is dedicated to promoting and highlighting all forms of the arts in Northeast Wisconsin. The team includes Heidi Hodges (editor and co-owner) and Jacinda Tessmann (business operations and co-owner).

Kim Jacobs is our client ad manager, Kristy Pigeon designs and crafts the magazine and keeps our socials updated, and Mike Shaw manages distribution to over 300 locations throughout Door and Kewaunee counties.

Faith Frykman--who, along with Heidi Hodges—founded the magazine, retired in 2025 and continues as our consultant emeritus. And Gina Ward helped guide the founding in 2019.
